No tengo palabras, sino emociones. Hoy, enredando por la Red, descubrí la historia de Rachel Flowers (si lo españolizamos, el nombre sería «Raquel Flores»).
Todo empezó hace unas semanas cuando terminé de leer «Musicofilia», el magnífico libro de Oliver Sacks. Comencé a indagar sobre los «savant» y todas esas historias de enfermedades mentales y síndromes que parecen apaciguarse con la música.
Viendo un video sobre un niño «savant» Rex Lewis-Clack, descubrí a Rachel. Y hoy he tomado una determinación: rendir homenaje a Rex, Rachel y a todas esas personas en el mundo que son un ejemplo de superación personal e inspiración para decir: «sí, puedo».
Mi forma de hacer coaching hoy está inspirada por esta joven «supertalentosa» y a quien espero conocer algún día en persona y comunicarme con ella con el lenguaje de la música. Mi corazón se llena con las flores musicales de Raquel.

It all began a couple of weeks ago when I finished reading «Musicophilia», the excellent book by Oliver Sacks. Then I started finding out about the «savant» and all those stories of mental illness and syndromes which seem to calm down with music.
I was watching a video on a «savant» boy called Rex Lewis-Clack and I discovered Rachel. Today I want to dedicate these lines to Rex, Rachel and to all those people in the world who are an example of self-improvement and inspiration for change: «yes, I can».
The way I do coaching is now inspired by this supertalented girl. I wish I meet her someday. Rachel, thank you for your music and the emotions I felt while I was listening to you. I wish any friend, relative or even her parents can pass this message to her:
«My heart is now filled with the musical flowers of Rachel.»
